Care and cleaning:
- Sterling silver is a pretty strong metal but it should not be twisted or bent more than absolutely necessary.
- Wood and silver do not live well together, the acids in wood can blemish silver so it is a good idea to avoid leaving your silver jewelry on wooden surfaces.
- The light from even a single light bulb can also speed up the tarnishing process so a dark dry place devoid of wooden surfaces is the best place for keeping your silver pieces.
- Silver reacts badly to acetylene, ammonia, and hydrogen peroxide, avoid these chemicals and do not wear silver jewelry in the swimming pool.
